Together with the participants of ConTheories, we spent two weeks to researched conspiracy theories at the deep social. We wanted to understand what narrative currently dominates and whether these show signs of already known or even new structures underpinning the narrative. To that end, it was of immense importance for us to determine not only how these new structures are prevalent in current conspiracy theories’ thinking but also how openly anti-semitic the explanations were inherently provided in those theories.
The workshop took place as a one-off event in 2021 under the german title “Verschwörungstheorien Heute und Gestern” at the educational operator Wissen am Stern gGmbH, Kassel, with grant funding from the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees.
Über zwei Wochen habe ich mit den Teilnehmer:innen von ConTheories Verschwörungsideologien im deep social untersucht. Wir wollten heraus finden, welche Narrative aktuell vorherrschend sind und welche bekannten oder sogar neuen Strukturen diese aufweisen. Dabei ist uns besonders deutlich geworden, wie nicht nur strukturelle, sondern auch offen antisemitische Erklärungsmuster heute wieder rezipiert werden.
Der Workshop wurde erstmalig 2021 unter dem deutschen Titel "Verschwörungstheorien Heute und Gestern" beim Bildungsträger Wissen am Stern gGmbh, Kassel mit der Förderung des Bundesamt für Flucht und Migration durchgeführt.
