Making a Shakespeare adaption is like bringing sand to the beach, although I still felt compelled to make one, not only because The Tempest as a timeless play that is both polyvalent and exciting, but also because the play is as interesting and current today as it was then. I believe and think that I would not be alone in thinking that we are facing a paradigm shift during the Anthropocene. Thus explains the View - into the deep abyss of time.
myLand was conceived as the final graduation film project from the Kunsthochschule Kassel and as such was awarded with a grant from the Hessen Film und Medien gGmbH and is now submitted for international premiere.
Shakespeare Adaptionen sind wie Sand am Meer, doch ich musste auch noch eine machen. Nicht nur weil "the tempest" als Zeitstück so toll und vielseitig ist, sondern weil die Zeit aus der dieses Stück entsprungen ist, heute wieder so interessant ist. Ich glaube und ich denke ich bin damit nicht allein, dass wir mit dem Anthropozän wieder vor einem großen Paradigmenwechsel stehen. Deshalb der Blick zurück - in den tiefen Abgrund der Zeit.
myLand ist als Hochschulabschlussfilm an der Kunsthochschule Kassel entstanden, und ist als sollcher von der HessenFilm und Medien gGmbH geförfert wurden. Der Film ist momentan international zur Premiere eingereicht.
